C&D Paper & Pulp’s Joint Venture 100,000-Ton Biomass Pellet Fuel Project Commences Operation in Hengzhou, Guangxi

On April 16, 2026, Guangxi Maofa Import & Export Trading Co., Ltd., jointly invested by Xiamen C&D Paper & Pulp Group and Singapore's Mouhong International Group, held a grand opening and project commissioning ceremony in Shitang Town, Hengzhou City, Guangxi. This marks the official launch of the joint venture's 100,000-ton-per-year biomass pellet fuel processing, production, and export project. This initiative is a key move by C&D Paper & Pulp Group to expand into the green energy industry chain and actively respond to the national "Dual Carbon" strategy.

The celebration site was filled with exhilarating drum performances and lively lion dances. Leaders from relevant units including the Nanning Investment Promotion Bureau and the People's Government of Shitang Town, Hengzhou City, alongside representatives from domestic and international partners such as Marubeni Corporation, Lee & Man Paper Manufacturing, and Nanning Sun Paper, gathered to witness the pivotal moment for this green energy project.

In his opening address, Chen Dongxu, Deputy General Manager of C&D Inc. and General Manager of C&D Paper & Pulp Group, stated: "The joint venture establishment of Guangxi Maofa with Mouhong International Group is both a continuation of our over-a-decade-long deep mutual trust and a strategic move for both parties to proactively embrace the energy transition and fulfill our commitment to green development. C&D Paper & Pulp will fully leverage its core strengths in supply chain operation, digital management, and whole-industry-chain collaboration to comprehensively empower the development of the joint venture, aiming to build this project into a benchmark in the biomass energy field."

Zhu Yongkai, Chairman of Mouhong International Group, noted in his speech that this project is a significant milestone for the group's deep cultivation in the green energy sector. Established in July 2025, Guangxi Maofa occupies a factory area of 8,000 square meters, equipped with professional production lines and comprehensive supporting facilities. Building upon the rich forestry resources and industrial foundation of Shitang Town, Hengzhou City, the company is dedicated to producing low-carbon, clean biomass pellet fuel. It aims to supply high-quality raw materials to regional paper enterprises, promoting resource recycling. Leveraging the unique geographical advantages of the Pinglu Canal Economic Belt, the project location can significantly reduce logistics costs and enhance export efficiency.

The successful commissioning of this project will further refine the forest product processing industry chain in Hengzhou City, promote the scaled development of the green energy industry, and hold significant importance for optimizing the regional energy structure and achieving synergistic growth of ecological and economic benefits.
